This seminar will focus on developing the aiki body. A body that is unified in movement and intent in order to generate power delivered through technique. This training, while applicable to many styles, will not focus on any one particular martial art style. Students will learn how to develop their own internally generated power through esoteric solo and partnered exercises. These solo exercises being the key to developing power that can be used in everyday life, sports, dance, and especially martial arts. In olden times, these esoteric practices were pursued by warriors to generate power in a relaxed body in an age when their lives were dependent on attaining these skills.
This seminar is in open format where questions and discussion are encouraged. Bring pen and paper for notetaking. This seminar is open to all styles and to any level of experience.
